What Is an Ingrown Toenail?
When a toenail is ingrown, it curves and starts growing into the skin bordering on the sides of the nail. People with ingrowns toenails experience pain, redness, and swelling. Ingrown toenails should be cared for as it is more serious than people think. Ingrown nails can sometimes causes a break in the skin which can then allow bacteria to enter causing an infection in the area.
